A weed is really any plant that is not required, however most people think of weeds as rough grasses, dandelions and twitch.
 

One of the most problematic weeds is Japanese knotweed. It was introduced into Britain in the 19th century as an ornamental plant. Over time it has become widespread in a range of habitats, including roadsides, riverbanks and derelict buildings. Japanese Knotweed is established in the wild in many parts of the country and creates problems due to the impact on biodiversity, flooding management and damage to property. Weed Programs
Falcon Pest control have an extensive program of weed control which is both very effective and also has minimal or no effect to the environment.

We use a variety of weed control systems which can completely clear an area, and also carry on doing so for some considerable time. Others are  what is known as directional or precise applications that target the unwanted weeds but leave wanted ones with no effect on them.
